Who we are
It all started when Martien van Wijngen started as a freight forwarder years ago, in an attic room in Barendrecht.
Martien van Wijngen had a few customers and used his regular carriers. But soon he found he had more control by buying a truck himself. And so it happened. Soon a white and blue Volvo truck was hitting the road. Later, many followed.
This grew into a family business of stature.
Today we rightly claim that Van Wijngen stands out from other European carriers. With more than 80 of our own trucks with French-speaking drivers, we are now the France carrier par excellence.
With this fleet we serve all corners of France and abroad.
Own material
What makes Van Wijngen just a little different is that it has invested heavily in its own trucks and outsources less to third parties. Your goods are transported with our own trucks, with our own drivers. And therefore we have absolute control.
French drivers
Unlike many other transporters, we choose not to use advantageous Eastern European drivers. Using French drivers is one of the ways in which we distinguish ourselves.
Central planning
From our location in Breda, we centrally manage all transports up to the final recipient. And unlike large logistics players, we carry out most of your transports ourselves. So from Breda we have complete control over your shipments. Your fixed contact person will tell you at any time where your shipment is and what is happening with it.
